Pakistan’s Air Sial, the country’s third private airline, has broadened its international presence, operating two weekly flights from Sialkot and five from Multan.
A statement from the UAE embassy in Islamabad revealed that the UAE Consul General in Karachi, Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumaithi, alongside Air Sial Chairman Fazal Jilani, inaugurated the airline’s inaugural international flight at Sialkot International Airport.
To commemorate this pivotal moment, a tasteful ceremony, complete with a cake-cutting segment, was organized at the airport, with officials from Sialkot International Airport and Air Sial in attendance.
Mr. Al-Rumaithi praised Air Sial’s leadership for the fruitful expansion of their international operations. He reflected on the Sialkot business community’s achievements, from establishing an international airport to launching international flight services, lauding it as a significant progression. The UAE consul general also shared his pleasant experience flying with Air Sial.
Air Sial introduced its domestic flight services on December 25, 2020, connecting Karachi and Islamabad, using their Airbus A320-200 aircraft. The airline commenced operations with a trio of Airbus A320-200 planes. Established by members of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Air Sial’s inception follows the success of their earlier project, the Sialkot International Airport Ltd.”
