They’ve arranged a two weeks’ training camp in Pakistan to prepare for their inaugural participation in the most important event of international cricket.
Afghanistan stunned the cricket world with an upset in the Asia Cup last month when they overcame hosts Bangladesh. The Afghans are tied in the same group with Bangladesh in the World Cup next year.
Kabir Khan, the Afghanistan coach, acknowledged that a two-week camp will begin in Karachi on April 15. Former Pakistan captains Aamer Sohail and Rashid Latif will assist them.
Sohail will lend a hand with the batting, while Latif will work with the wicket-keepers.
