Stephen Graham, the co-creator of the hit psychological thriller Adolescence, addressed the show’s future during his appearance at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
The series was originally conceived as a standalone project. However, its critical acclaim and global popularity have prompted discussions about a possible second season. Graham revealed that he and co-creator Jack Thorne have begun exploring ideas for another chapter.
Speaking backstage at the Golden Globes, Graham confirmed that a follow-up is in development, though it remains in its early stages. “I cannot answer that question,” he said when asked directly about season two. “It’s somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind and Jack’s mind, and we’ll pull it out in three or four years. So stay tuned.”
