Adobe has introduced an AI Assistant for Adobe Acrobat, enabling users to edit PDFs with natural-language commands rather than complex menus.
The update forms part of Adobe’s wider rollout of in-house artificial intelligence tools across its product suite. In addition to editing, the AI Assistant can convert PDFs into presentations and podcast-style audio summaries.
The new feature allows users to complete routine tasks by simply typing what they want. Users can remove pages, delete text or comments, erase images, add passwords, and apply e-signatures without navigating multiple settings.

Adobe designed the assistant to reduce friction for everyday users. Instead of searching for specific tools or memorising workflows, users can phrase requests in plain language.
PDF editing has long frustrated casual users, especially when working with contracts, reports, or official documents. Even simple changes often require several steps and detailed knowledge of the interface.
By applying natural-language processing, Adobe has streamlined those workflows. A user can now request actions like deleting a specific page or securing a document with a password in a single instruction.

The Acrobat update aligns with similar AI-driven changes across Adobe’s ecosystem. In Adobe Premiere, the company recently introduced an Object Mask feature that lets editors isolate subjects by clicking directly on them.
With these updates, Adobe continues to position itself as a leader in AI-powered productivity tools. The company aims to reduce technical barriers while maintaining professional-grade capabilities.
