The incident involving singer Aditya Narayan,@adityanarayanofficial, who was seen grabbing and subsequently tossing a phone from the audience into the air during his Rungta College, Bhilai concert, has taken a new turn. A student connected to the episode has come forward with his perspective, shedding fresh light on the controversy.
Aditya Narayan, the son of Udit Narayan, found himself at the heart of a dispute following the widespread circulation of a video showing him discarding a student’s phone during a live performance. Narayan has refrained from commenting on the incident, stating his accountability lies solely with a higher power.
The event’s organizer attributed the confrontation to the student’s alleged aggressive behaviour towards Narayan, suggesting the student was not affiliated with the college hosting the concert.
According to a report by Times Now, the organizer described the student as persistently bothersome, accusing him of repeatedly assaulting Narayan by pulling at his feet and striking them with his phone.
Despite these claims, the student identified as B.Sc third-year student Lovkesh Chandravanshi provided a contrasting narrative. Chandravanshi expressed his shock and dismay over the unexpected turn of events, stating that his actions were innocent and stemmed from a desire to capture a moment with Narayan, whom he admires. Chandravanshi said he was merely attempting to hand his phone to Narayan for a selfie, as he had observed the singer doing for others, when Narayan hit his hand with a microphone and threw the phone away.
Chandravanshi’s recounting challenges the event manager’s version of the events, highlighting the suddenness of the altercation and his genuine surprise at the reaction his action provoked. He emphasized his and his brother’s admiration for Narayan as the reason for their attendance at the concert, underscoring their expectation of a positive interaction.
