Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab team for raiding the home of former provincial chief executive and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
In an early morning tweet, Naqvi shared a video posted by Shujaat’s son, Salik Hussain, which showed the ACE team at the entrance of their residence.
Naqvi expressed his shock that the ACE team stormed Shujaat’s house to arrest Elahi, resulting in injuries to Salik Hussain. However, he emphasized that the law should take its course and that no unlawful actions would be tolerated.

On Saturday, the ACE Punjab team, accompanied by Lahore police, raided the former CM’s residence. However, the team could not locate Elahi despite detaining around nine individuals during the operation.
After several unsuccessful attempts to enter the premises, the police finally deployed an armored personnel carrier (APC) to tear down the main gate, allowing the officers to enter. Subsequently, over seven PTI workers were arrested.
Following the search of Elahi’s house, the police also inspected the residence of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, located within the same complex. Shujaat’s son, Salik Hussain, informed the police that Elahi was not at their home.
