Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and cordially thanked him for supporting Pakistan’s bid to join the Nuclear Supplier’s Group.
President Mamnoon Hussain said that there was no place in Pakistan for the enemies of China. He also spoke about he China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said that his country was determined to complete the project by its due date.
Mamnoon Hussain thanked President Xi Jinping for supporting Pakistan’s bid to join the Nuclear Suppliers Group.
“Only granting India the membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group will shift the balance of power,” he said.
He also said on the occasion that Pakistan and China’s friendship had remained firm despite difficulties and trials.
“There exists a strategic partnership between China and Pakistan,” he said.
President Mamnoon Hussain also thanked the Chinese President for supporting Pakistan’s bid to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and thanked him for standing firm with Pakistan on its stance against drone attacks. Mamnoon Hussain thanked President Xi Jinping for China’s stance in favour of Pakistan’s sovereignty and security.
