Six suspected insurgents were killed and several others injured in an operation in Mashkay area of Awaran district by the Frontier Corps Balochistan.
One security personnel embraced martyrdom in the clash.
According to a press handout issued by the Frontier Corps (FC) in Quetta, the Frontier Corps launched a search operation in Mashkay area of Awaran district against the militants.
“Militants opened indiscriminate fire at FC personnel as they reached the area and FC also retaliated against the attack,” a spokesman of FC said adding that as a result of exchange of fire, six militants were killed on the spot and several others injured.
He added that one personnel of FC embraced martyrdom. He said that FC also recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants.
