According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) experienced a magnitude 5.4 earthquake on Saturday. Areas including Swat, Hazara Division, Swabi, and their surrounding locations felt the tremors.
The quake originated from the southeastern Afghanistan border, with a depth of approximately 150 kilometres. The jolts caused inhabitants to vacate their houses in fright, reciting the Kalma-e-Tayyaba, although no damage or injuries were reported initially.
