Residents in these areas experienced noticeable shaking, although the impact remained limited. Officials continue to monitor the situation for any aftershocks.
According to official data, the earthquake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 12 kilometres. The epicentre was located in northwestern Kashmir, approximately 84 kilometres northeast of Gilgit-Baltistan.
This region is known for seismic activity due to its geological positioning. Authorities confirmed that no loss of life or property damage has been reported so far. Emergency services remain alert, but the situation appears stable.
