28 Dead, 22 Injured in Balochistan Bus Accident

At least 28 people, including women and children, died when a passenger bus overturned and fell into a ditch in Balochistan’s Washuk district on Wednesday morning.

Rescue and Levies officials reported that about 22 people were injured in the accident and have been moved to the Civil Hospital in Basima.

Rescue officials said the passenger bus’s tyre burst, causing the accident. The bus was travelling from Gwadar to Quetta.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences and prayed for the deceased.

He also directed authorities to assist the injured.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti offered condolences for the lives lost in the tragic accident and prayed for the injured.
