209 MPs including Shah Mehmood Qureshi submit asset details to ECP

Around two hundred and nine members of the National and Provincial Assembly including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi have submitted details of their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan, on Wednesday.

According to ECP, 209 out of 1174 members of Senate, NA and PAs have submitted their asset details so far.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah, Interior Minister and other prominent politicians have still not submitted their asset details.

The ECP said that total details of the assets received are 209 in which 29 are from Senate, 75 are NA, 38 are from PP, 48 are from PS, 19 from KPK and 6 from PB.

All members of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Paktunkhwa and Balochistan are required to submit yearly statements of assets and liabilities of their own, their spouses and dependents in the Election Commission Secretariat by September 30, 2014.
