The 2025 Government Hajj Scheme application process started today, remaining open until December 3.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has designated 15 banks across Pakistan for application submissions. Under this scheme, 89,605 quotas are available for Pakistani pilgrims. Applicants must initially deposit Rs200,000 with their application.

A draw scheduled for December 6 will determine the selected applicants, who must pay the second instalment of the Hajj fees. The final payment is due between February 1 and 10, 2025.

The scheme provides a comprehensive package, including airfare, accommodation, meals, training, and vaccinations. Additionally, 5,000 seats are reserved for overseas Pakistanis on a “first come, first served” basis, costing $4,225 each.

For the first time, priority will be given to first-time applicants in the draw, offering more people the chance to perform Hajj. The scheme offers packages of varying lengths to accommodate different needs: the longer lasts 38 to 42 days, and the shorter spans 20 to 25 days.

Authorities are urging applicants to meet all requirements and submit their applications promptly.

In a new initiative, the Ministry for Religious Affairs aims to keep family members together during the pilgrimage. It includes provisions for families to share accommodations and visit ‘Riazul Jannah’ at Masjid-e-Nabwi together. This measure addresses the challenges faced by families with separate accommodations during Hajj.
