The 18th Karachi International Book Fair (KIBF) is scheduled from December 14th to 18th, 2023, at the Karachi Expo Center, in halls 1, 2, and 3.

The Karachi International Book Fair, organized by the Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association, will see participation from 150 leading publishers and booksellers from Pakistan and 40 exhibitors from 17 countries.

The KIBF has gained recognition as Pakistan’s largest consumer/trade fair since its inception in 2005, uniting various domestic and international publishers and booksellers.

The fair’s inauguration on December 14th is expected to be conducted by the Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh, Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir, with Mr Muhammad Ahmed Shah, the Caretaker Minister for Information, Ministry Affairs & Social Protection Department of the Government of Sindh and President of the Art Council Karachi, serving as the Guest of Honor.

Over 330 stands will exhibit books on various subjects, attracting many visitors, including families, students, and book enthusiasts from across the country.

The KIBF is not just a platform for book exhibits but also serves as a significant forum for diplomacy and cultural exchange. The fair aims to engage the nation’s youth and students in cultural and creative activities, emphasizing the propagation of knowledge and humanistic values.

This year’s event is anticipated to attract around 400,000 visitors, encompassing book lovers, students, professionals, writers, and the general public. Various book launchings, ceremonies, and contests will be held, adding to the fair’s educational and cultural richness. The event will run daily from 10 am to 9 pm, starting on December 14th and concluding on December 18th, 2023.
