Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry has categorically stated that, “Pakistan will not accept Indian moves to build a wall along the Working Boundary between the two countries.”
The foreign secretary said there were reports that Indian security forces were building a wall along the Working Boundary, adding that it would not be accepted by Pakistan at any cost.
He said that Pakistan has raised the issue in the United Nations as construction at the Working Boundary and the Line of Control (LoC) is against the UN-agreed status quo reached between two countries.
Pakistan’s permanent envoy to the UN, Maleeha Lodhi, has written a letter to the UN Security Council and UN Secretary General complaining that India was building a wall along the Line of Control and Working Boundary in violation of the world body’s resolutions.
