Expressing concern over continued clashes between troops of Pakistan and India along Line of Control (LoC), United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged New Delhi and Islamabad to resolve their issues through talks.
“Ban Ki-moon has appealed Pakistan and India to resolve their all outstanding issues through dialogues,” the spokesman for the world body added.
Responding to a question at regular briefing, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said the Secretary General has called on India and Pakistan to resolve their differences peacefully through dialogue.
On Monday, three Pakistani civilians were martyred and five others wounded in Indian shelling across the disputed border with Pakistan in the Himalayan region of Kashmir, Pakistani officials said, as tension simmers between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
He said the United Nations continues to watch this situation of concern. (PhotoNews / APP)
