Heavy presence of security personnel around the metropolis did not deter unknown gunmen from moving another seven people including senior lawyer Waqar-ul-Hasan Shah yesterday
The most recent incident took place in the metropolis late last night in Golimar where some unidentified miscreants opened gunfire, killing a man and injuring two others.
The senior lawyer of high court, who was a leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawyers’ wing, was fatally ambushed as he was on his way to the court in his car. Shah was rushed to a nearby hospital but, was proclaimed dead there. The body was dispatched to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal procedures.
