An anti-terrorism court in Karachi earlier today remanded suspected target-killer Mohammad Rehan Hussain alias Bihari into Rangers’ custody for 90 days.
Rehan, arrested by Rangers personnel in a raid in the Surjani Town area late Friday night, is accused of being involved in the murders of policemen and several political activists in the city.
Suspect Rehan Hussain ‘Bihari’ belongs to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and is said to be a former in-charge of the party’s Surjani Town sector.
A Rangers’ law officer told the ATC today that Rehan ‘Bihari’ was involved in over 50 cases of target-killing.
The suspect was allegedly involved in the killing of political workers and police personnel, as well as crimes of extortion, kidnapping for ransom, snatching sacrificial hides, and ‘china-cutting’, according to the Rangers.
The accused has confessed that he was leading a gang of target-killers and providing them with weapons for carrying out the crimes, claimed a Rangers spokesman following his arrest on Friday.
