Auckland: Pakistani wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed Saturday claimed a record-equalling six catches behind the stumps against Sourth Africa and was named man-of-the-match.
Sarfaraz has levelled the record of Australia’s Adam Gilchrist after taking six catches in the World Cup match.

“I am very thankful to the world and Pakistan for this opportunity,” said Sarfraz said after the match.
“This is my World Cup debut, but Mushtaq Ahmed (one of the team’s coaching staff) encouraged me and told me to go out and enjoy myself,” said he, who replaced Nasir Jamshed at the top of the order. -AFP
