Interior Minsiter Chaudhry Nisar Ali said government has handed over security of Red Zone to the army.
Addressing a press conference here, Nisar said that army would be deployed in Red Zone to protect vital buildings. “We have already submitted a requisition for calling in army in the federal capital,” he said.
“Negotiation was the only way to find out solution in a bid to end this impasse,” he said. “We request both PTI and PAT to sit with the government or opposition parties to end this issue.”
The interior minister said that his government was ready to open 20 constituencies for verification of votes.
Nisar said that all those involved in irregularities in the election should be brought to book, but it was the jurisdiction of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
