Rawalpindi Police detained and later on released dozens of students in an overnight raid at a hostel in the garrison city of Rawalpindi.
According to local news channel “Samaa Tv” police raided at a private hostel checked documents of the students and detained dozens of them.
New Town police claimed that raid was an emergency and part of the anti-terror National Action Plan.
The students were taken to police station and were later released.
The raid and arrests sparked protest from the students. They said that they could not get prepared for the exam scheduled for Monday.
