Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are set to clash at the box office with their respective releases ‘Haider’ and ‘Mary Kom’.
Both of the big banner films are slated to release on October 2nd, the day of Gandhi Jayanti.
‘Haider’, co-produced by Kapoor and UTV, is an Indian adaption of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’. It is the third instalment in Bhardwaj’s Shakespearean trilogy after ‘Maqbool’, which was based on Macbeth, and Omkara, based on ‘Othello’.
On the other hand, ‘Mary Kom’, which is directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is based on the real life story of Olympics medallist MC Mary Kom.
