Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday has charge sheeted suspended cricketers Khalif Latif and Sharjeel Khan for violation of anti-corruption code.
Khalif Latif and Sharjeel Khan were called in PCB office Lahore and both player were handed over the charge sheet.
According to the PCB, two players have been advised to submit their response to the charge-sheet comprising 15 questions in two weeks.
The board said that a tribunal would be set up if the two players pleaded innocence.
The charge sheet contains question included:
- Why did you fail to report bookie approach?
- Why did you fail to comply with PCB’s anti-corruption code of conduct?
- Why did you fail to act upon PCB’s lectures on spot-fixing?
- Why did you conceal facts from anti-corruption unit?
- How can you plead innocence?
Khalif Latif and Sharjeel Khan were suspended in the second edition of Pakistan Super League. The duo were caught making contacts with bookies.
PCB officials maintain they have solid evidence to press charges against Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif.
