While talking to Geo News a day before the concert, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UN Maleeha Lodhi said they organised a grand event as they wanted Pakistan’s independence to be celebrated in general assembly of the UN, which is also called the Parliament of the world.
She added that in today’s times when xenophobia, especially Islamophobia, is on a rise, it is important for the world to know what the Pakistani culture is like, Lodhi said. “We have to bridge the gaps and this can be done through music.” (PhotoNews /Geo News)
