A survey conducted by a US-based research company has placed Pakistan among top five economies with the largest positive change in economic attitudes, comparing the previous year.
The poll conducted by PEW Research, a Washington-based research organization, revealed that 47 percent of Pakistanis believed that country’s economy was better – 10 percent more than that of 2014.
Only 23 percent of those interviewed, described the economic situation as unsatisfactory.
During the poll, around 48 percent of the people opined that country’s economy would improve by next year.
If compared with 2002 survey, only 7 percent had expected economy to ‘improve a lot’ by next year while the ratio has touched the mark of 18 percent in 2015.
The poll revealed that Pakistanis spent around Rs1 trillion on Eid shopping and a huge number of middle class families visited Murree hill station to celebrate Eid.
According to Traffic Police, around 100,000 cars carrying about 500,000 persons entered Murree on the second day of Eid and this was a story of merely one recreational point.
