Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said that “Pakistan will soon surmount all problems including terrorism, despite multiple challenges”.
The army chief visited Pakistan’s high commission in London and spoke at a dinner reception hosted in his honor and attended by a large number of people from the British and Pakistani communities.
Referring to December 16 tragedy in Peshawar where Taliban terrorists killed nearly 140 schoolchildren, General Sharif asserted the incident clearly shows that the terrorists can go to any extreme.
He vowed to eliminate terrorists from Pakistan, saying, “Pakistan is in the state of war.”
“The military courts were set up in accordance with the wish of people,” he remarked.
