The Ministry of Interior has canceled the national holiday on the birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, which is celebrated annually on November 9.
According to circular no. F. No. 2/4/2014.Public issued by the ministry on November 04 that November 9 (Monday) would be a working day, and all the offices and educational institutes would remain open as per routine.

The interior ministry didn’t elaborate on why the government decided.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, all offices and schools will remain open as per routine on Monday.
