A loud explosion and gunshots have been heard in Kuri Road near the highway in Rawalpindi a few minutes ago. The blast has reportedly occurred near Masjid- Imambargah Qasr-Sakina.
According to initial reports it was a suicide attack. The guard of the imambargah is said to have sacrificed his life while attempting to stop the bomber from entering the premises.
two people have died so far while Seven people have been reportedly injured and an emergency has been declared in PIMS, Polyclinic hospital. The injured are said to be in a critical condition. More updates are awaited.
