Suspected target killed Obaid-ur-Rehman was shot dead when he was trying to escape police custody in Altaf Nagar area of Orangi Town earlier today.
The suspect snatched the service weapon from a policeman and opened fire, injuring a constable, police said.
Police claimed that he was killed in retaliatory fire.
It may be mentioned here that DIG West Tahir Naveed had presented the targeted killer before media yesterday.The suspect had confessed to killing 22 people including 4 doctors and eight constables.
Police are also conducting raids in different areas of the city to apprehend Ubaid-ur-Rehman’z accomplices.
