A powerful bomb blast ripped through a mosque frequented by the Dawoodi Bohra community during Friday prayers in Karachi, a little while ago.
The masjid is located close to Karachi’s densely populated Pakistan Chowk area. So far there have been reports of 10 people injured and 1 dead.
3 of the critically injured have been shifted to civil hospital where they are in extremely precarious condition.
According to initial reports, the time bomb weighing 2 to 3 Kgs was planted on a motor bike. It was detonated when people were coming out of the mosque after offering Jumma prayers. The bomb was planted in motorbike parked outside the mosque located at Haqqani chowk area near Pakistan Chowk.
