The Jamaatud Dawa (JuD), has launched a political part, Milli Muslim League (MML), to contest in election 2018.
MML president, Saifullah Khalid addressing a conference said “We have decided to make a new political party, so that Pakistan is to made a real Islamic and welfare state,”
MML’s spokesperson, Tabish Qayoum, said the MML has already filed registration papers with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). “It is now need of the hour to get your message to the grassroots,”
Qayoum while talking to ‘Reuters’ said that JuD officials have always denied the charity is a front for LeT, and tout the group’s humanitarian work as an example of Islamic charity.
Chief JUD, Hafiz Saeed, didn’t attend the launch event as he remains under house arrest in Lahore. However, senior JuD leader a will be involved in the new party.
Addressing on the occasion, MML president also demand for the immediate release, said “We demand an immediate release of Hafiz Saeed. Once he is released we will seek his guidance and ask what role he wants in this political party,”
