ISIS jihadists attempted a suicide attack yesterday on an air base where U.S. troops are training Iraqi forces, officials said.
Several of the suicide bombers were wearing Iraqi uniforms when they tried to enter the base, a Pentagon spokesman said.
No Iraqi or U.S. troops were killed or wounded and no American troops were involved in the gunfight.
The attack follows reports that the Islamic militants had taken control of al-Baghdadi, a town roughly 5 miles from the base.
In a grim show of force, ISIS also released a video claiming to show 17 Kurdish fighters being paraded through the northern city of Kirkuk in cages. The ISIS is the most cold blooded and sadistic terror outfit in existence today and murder their opponents in callous disregard of humanitarian laws.
