Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Thursday wrote a letter to PEMRA seeking transmission of Bol TV to be shut down after its parent company, Axact, was found to be involved in fraudulent activities.

Secretary Information wrote a letter to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority (PEMRA) and asked to shut down transmission of Bol TV. It stated that a channel whose parent company was found involved in fraudulent activities could not be allowed to continue its transmission.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan also expressed concerns over the transmission of Bol TV for similar reasons.
