Director General of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa in an interview with foreign news agency  has said that the formation of military courts is a step towards greater democracy.

Bajwa further said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in North Waziristan has transformed into a national operation against terrorism.  He also claimed that more than 4000 terrorists were arrested in operations outside the tribal areas.

“It is the effectiveness of the operation that the leaders of terrorist organization have fled to Afghanistan”, he added.

He added that the scope of anti-terrorism operation has been widened after the attack on Army Public School in Peshawar.

“The Peshawar attack was a reaction by the terrorists”, Bajwa said.

DG ISPR added that Zarb-e-Azb will complete with the end of terrorism in the country.
