At least one person was injured when a gunman opened fire at a kosher grocery store in eastern Paris today and took at least five people hostage, sources told the media.
It is been reported that employees and clients are trapped in the basement of the store.
The gunman was suspected of being the same man who killed a policewoman in southern Paris yesterday, who is thought to have links to the assailants who stormed satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday.
A police source had told Reuters earlier he was a member of the same jihadist group as the two suspects in the attack at weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
