Pakistan’s tallest man, Zia Rasheed, died on Tuesday in Vehari at the age of 30 after a long illness. Many people, including notable social and political figures, attended his funeral.
Rasheed became Pakistan’s tallest man at 15 and experienced knee problems at 20, leading to a chronic condition. Despite his health issues, he struggled to receive adequate treatment, and the government did not provide the necessary support, as reported by Geo News. His condition worsened over time.
Last year, an accident on the stairs exacerbated his pain, and he succumbed to his illness today.
In a December 2018 interview with APP, Rasheed mentioned training in taekwondo to maintain his fitness and for self-defence. He stood eight feet three inches tall, making him the second tallest man globally.
