In Zhob District, Balochistan, Government Model Higher Secondary School, a clerk gambled away millions of rupees on 1XBet.

The funds allocated for the examination fees of 878 9th and 10th-grade students were misappropriated and lost on the online betting platform 1XBet.

The school’s principal, Wazir Khan, confirmed the incident, stating that the clerk, responsible for the fees totalling Rs 2,314,000, confessed to using the money to gamble online through the site 1XBet.

The alarming revelation came just as the deadline for fee submission to the Balochistan Board, set for October 30th, approaches. The non-deposition of these fees could disrupt the students’ ability to enrol in their examinations.

Following the discovery, the clerk, Shehzad Jamal, was arrested, and formal charges were filed. This highlights the gravity of the misuse of entrusted funds.
