WhatsApp is introducing an innovative feature to its business app, integrating artificial intelligence with WhatsApp Business accounts.

WABetaInfo reports that this feature enables businesses to utilize AI to manage customer messages, especially when human teams are unavailable.

Currently, this feature is accessible only to beta testers through the latest WhatsApp beta for Android, version 2.24.26.16, available on the Google Play Store.

When businesses activate this AI service, customers receive notifications in their chat, enhancing transparency and building trust.

This AI service aims to enhance customer support by providing quick, accurate responses to common questions, assisting with purchases, and addressing complex queries with customized machine learning models.

📝 WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.26.16: what's new?

WhatsApp is rolling out a business platform connection feature and AI-powered replies, now available to some beta testers!

This update also resolves a significant limitation previously encountered by users of the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Before, businesses could not manage their WhatsApp accounts directly via the mobile app. Now, businesses can manage their accounts through both the WhatsApp Business app and the platform by scanning a Quick Response (QR) code. This access unlocks many features previously unavailable.

The update allows users to share up to six months of chat history with the business app, facilitating a smooth continuity of interaction when switching to this new service. However, group chat history is not included.

Supporting this enhancement, all one-on-one chats will now utilize a secure service from Meta. This change will be communicated directly in users’ chats like AI-powered replies.

The rollout of this feature will expand to more users in the upcoming weeks.
