Viral Video: Sindh Govt. School Textbooks Sold at Junkyard in Ghotki

This an eye-opening video for the Pakistan People’s Party Leadership and Education Department!

This video is widely circulating on social media. In it, a man speaking in Sindhi is displaying the textbooks acquired by the Sindh Government for the education of students studying in Government Schools across the province. However, the man is allegedly claiming that all the textbooks have not been given to the schools/students but are being sold as scrap in a junkyard in Ghotki.

The man, speaking in Sindhi, is vociferously stating, “The management and employees of District Ghotki’s Education Department should be drowned and taken from the sewers by the throat of Ghumma and brought to eat this garbage. These people have deprived thousands of children of the right to a decent education so that they may build a better future for themselves and their families. Instead, they are being forced to live in servitude to the ruling feudal elite in Sindh, who have sold the books bought by honest taxpayers’ money to the junkyard here.”

It is also stated and shown in the video that “All kinds of Islamic books are also included in the discarded books, which contain Quranic Verses. This is a massive insult to the dignity of our Faith and our Holy Prophet (SAW).

Books of the Sindh Education Board were used to keep pictures of Ms. Benazir Bhutto in one book.

The Sindh government should take action on this. It is a junkyard on the Ghotki bypass. All these books are there.

Sindh is the drowning place of the Government. Nowhere else is such disrespect and abuse of the facility of education. We demand that Education Minister Sardar Shah should take notice of this”

The video raises serious questions;

  • Who is intentionally trying to sabotage Sindh’s education system and keep the entire population illiterate?
  • In the bigger picture, who benefits from this setup?

If you have any conscience,  please watch the video till the end, and share it in your social media circles so that the public can denounce their behavior and perhaps someone will take action against the perpetrators. But, probably, nothing will happen because of the Sindh Government. The Pakistan People’s Party has stomped on and destroyed education’s importance.

Earlier, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah labeled Transparency International’s report “biassed” and termed the report based on “assumptions’ as the TIP’s report is made with an intent to tarnish Sindh Education Department.
