In Karachi, a conflict at a beauty salon escalated into violence, resulting in the injury of a security guard. The incident involved Saniya Anwar Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner of Sindh Revenue Board, posted in Karachi’s Defense Badar Commercial area. The altercation occurred at a beauty parlour owned by Bilal Siddiqui during a service session involving hair drying.
The dispute reportedly began over the parlour staff’s refusal to display the packaging of the hair dye being used, which Sheikh requested to see. This disagreement quickly escalated, leading Siddiqui to allegedly fire a weapon, injuring one of Sheikh’s security guards.
Following the incident, authorities arrested Siddiqui, and the injured guard was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment. The matter has since been officially registered at the Darakhshan Police Station under Sheikh’s complaint, which details the sequence of events leading to the altercation and subsequent shooting.
Police involvement increased when Sheikh called for assistance during the confrontation. Officers responded to the scene and attempted to de-escalate the situation by inviting both parties to the station for resolution. However, tensions heightened when it was discovered that men were present inside the salon, contrary to expectations, leading to further complications before police cleared the area.
This incident has drawn significant attention, highlighting concerns about public safety and the conduct of individuals in positions of authority involved in personal disputes.
