Three employees from Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been kidnapped, triggering a response from security forces.

The SNGPL employees were kidnapped in the Baka Khel area while they were en route to Said Gai, transporting diesel.

The kidnappers have since released a video that shows the three abducted employees, who are originally from Punjab. In the video, the hostages convey the kidnappers’ threat that if their demands are not met, their lives are at risk.

District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu, Ziauddin Ahmed, reported that the specific demands of the kidnappers remain unclear. In response, a specialized team, including personnel from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and other security agencies, has initiated an operation to rescue the kidnapped employees.
