Uzma Zahid Bukhari, Punjab’s Provincial Minister of Information and Culture, alleges that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Falak Javed (without mentioning her name) operates a propaganda cell utilized to malign individuals.
During a recent statement, she revealed, “This propaganda cell is used to insult people.” Bukhari shared these remarks in the context of a court presentation she attended earlier. She disclosed that 500 SIM cards had been registered under the name of a woman, Falak Javed, and an additional 500 under her husband’s name. These SIMs, she claims, were used to set up accounts aimed at blackmailing people.
“These individuals are more dangerous and cunning than we can imagine,” remarked Bukhari, expressing her concerns about the severity of the operations.
Further, she indicated that these individuals receive protection at the KP House, suggesting a sheltered network. Bukhari also addressed the issue of digital platforms and misinformation, stating that ‘X’ had been shut down in Brazil and would now continue to operate there strictly under new rules and regulations.
Asserting the importance of regulatory compliance, she emphasized, “Everything should be under rules and regulations.”
On the subject of political vengeance, Bukhari noted, “If I wanted to take political revenge silently, I could have done so without anyone noticing. I wouldn’t have appeared in court if it were about political revenge.” Her comments highlight her commitment to transparency and legal processes in addressing these allegations.
