Salt Bae has received negative attention since the FIFA World Cup Final. Photos and videos of him grabbing the trophy, posing with it, and biting another player’s medal are circulating on social media.
According to AFP, FIFA is investigating how Nusret Gökçe got access to the turf. “Following a review, FIFA has been establishing how individuals gained undue access to the pitch after the closing ceremony at Lusail stadium on December 18”.
