According to international media reports, many pilgrims have arrived in Makkah for Hajj without legal permits, while authorities have detained 83 individuals posing as fake Hajj mentors.
The Director of Public Security in Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Al-Bassami, confirmed that the authorities had arrested 83 individuals impersonating Hajj instructors and have deported over 159,000 pilgrims without valid permits.
Furthermore, 5,868 foreign nationals have been apprehended for attempting to perform Hajj without the necessary permits, violating residence, employment, and border security regulations.
Al-Bassami also disclosed that nine individuals involved in illegally facilitating Hajj pilgrims had been taken into custody, and approximately 109,118 vehicles were denied entry at the checkpoints outside Makkah.
