Two armed men rapped a 24 years old girl in Islamabad’s F-9 park while holding her at gunpoint.
According to the lodged FIR, the victim and her male colleague were in a park in F-9 on Thursday night when two armed men approached them; the shooters separated the two and forced them into a nearby thicket. The young couple even offered money and valuables in exchange for their safety, and the young woman begged them to let her go and was then beaten up.
When the victim tried to speak up, the attackers beat her and told her they would call their “friends” to join them if she didn’t stop. The attackers also thwarted her attempts to flee.
According to the FIR, the alleged offenders warned the victim that she shouldn’t be in the park at this time of night and returned before leaving ” they returned all our things and gave us Rs1,000 to stay quiet and disappeared into a nearby thicket.”
Margalla police logged the report and started an investigation into the incident.
Police say they track the suspects using CCTV footage and Safe City cameras. The police added that they were also questioning the F-9 park staff to learn more about the suspects.
According to hospital sources, the victim had a medical exam yesterday at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The sources reported that the girl’s body had signs of torture.
In the meantime, the forensic laboratory has received the victim’s sample(s) for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) testing.
Sources in PIMs reported that the victim had injury marks on his face and leg.
