Indus Motor Company (IMC) has launched the Toyota Yaris facelift model, with a price increase of Rs144,000 to Rs606,000.

In mid-March, IMC cut the prices of various Yaris models by Rs73,000-133,000 to keep them below Rs4 million, excluding general sales tax.

The new prices for the Toyota Yaris GLi M/T 1.3, CVT 1.3, ATIV M/T 1.3, and ATIV CVT 1.3 are Rs4.479 million, Rs4.760 million, Rs4.730 million, and Rs5.604 million, respectively. Previously, these models were priced at Rs4.326 million, Rs4.616 million, Rs4.586 million, and Rs4.766 million.

Indus Motors Company (IMC) has launched two new facelift models of the Toyota Yaris 1.5L ATIV X CVT in Pakistan. The ATIV X CVT 1.5 with a beige interior is now available at Rs6.255 million, up from Rs5.649 million.

Yaris bookings started on May 24, with a partial payment of Rs1.5 million. A dealer noted that the price increase is due to the facelift of headlights and bumpers.

Despite slow auto sales during 10M FY24, a positive development occurred when the State Bank of Pakistan relaxed import curbs, boosting the arrival of completely knocked-down (CKD) kits.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data, the import of CKDs rose to $72 million in April, up from $60 million in March, $50 million in February, and $37 million in January. This suggests an improvement in the booking of hot-selling vehicles.

Auto part expert Mashood Ali Khan stated that the rising trend in CKD kit imports signals improved sales, especially from July onwards, depending on the pro-auto industry measures to be announced in the FY25 budget.
