The escalating crime and robbery rates in the country have become a major concern for citizens. Robbers are not only breaking into homes to steal valuable items but have also begun looting meat from refrigerators.
Reports indicate an incident in Sector 1-C of Orangi Town, Karachi, where robbers broke into a house, stole cash and expensive jewellery and even emptied the refrigerator of its meat supplies.
This unusual theft in Orangi Town has perplexed both the victims and authorities. The robbers broke into the house in the owners’ absence by breaking the locks. They looted valuable items and even took the frozen meat from the refrigerator, leaving the affected family worried about their safety.
A case has been registered at the Orangi Town police station, and the search for the suspects is underway. The victims informed the police they had left for Thatta two days earlier for urgent work and discovered the robbery upon their return. The locks were broken, and cash, jewellery, and meat from the refrigerator were stolen.
Following the incident, residents have raised concerns about the administration’s lack of security measures. Citizens are now anxious about leaving their homes unattended, even temporarily. The police have assured the victims that they are actively searching for the culprits and will bring them to justice.
Additionally, there was a recent revelation about the theft of dried turtle meat from the Sindh Wildlife office. The meat seized two and a half months ago and stored in 16 sacks was due to be destroyed after final investigations. However, thieves managed to steal it before it could be disposed of. This case remains under investigation due to the lack of arrests related to the theft.
