Former U.S. president Barack Obama appeared as a guest on ‘The Daily Show’ with Trevor Noah and ended up discussing the midterm elections and the current political climate in the country.
According to Variety, Obama spoke about the Obama Foundation Democracy Forum and the most pressing problems confronting the United States and the globe today.
This was Obama’s third appearance on the show. He previously participated in a virtual edition of 2020 and conducted one of his final interviews as president in the White House with Noah.
The interview with Obama was slated for the evening of Thursday, November 17. This will occur before Noah’s anticipated departure from The Daily Show on December 8, 2022.
In addition, the interview occurred during a politically fascinating period. The Republican Party took control of the House of Representatives in last week’s midterm elections, ending the Democrats’ two-year reign. At the same time, Obama’s successor, Donald Trump, has stated his intention to run again in 2024.
