The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) commended the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), praising their contributions to China’s defense, security, and nation-building.

In underscoring the profound connections between the two nations, their military forces, and their citizens, the COAS remarked that the Pakistan-China alliance is unique and robust, demonstrating its strength through all challenges. “The PLA and the Pakistan Army are comrades in arms, and our relationship will persist in strengthening our collective interests,” COAS concluded.

The event was attended by Her Excellency Ms. Pang Chunxue, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy, Major General Wang Zhong, Defence Attaché, Chinese Embassy officials, and officers from Pakistan’s tri-services.

During the event, the Chinese Chargé d’Affaires thanked the COAS for hosting the 96th-anniversary celebration of the PLA’s founding. She stated, “The enduring strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan has withstood the test of time and alterations in international landscapes.”

She continued, “China and Pakistan recently commemorated the 10th anniversary of the inception of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). In recent months, the COAS and other military leaders from Pakistan have visited China, significantly bolstering the relationship between our two militaries.”
