Renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg has cast Bradley Cooper to play Frank Bullitt in the forthcoming original picture based on the iconic character portrayed by Steven McQueen in the 1968 thriller.
Deadline reported that Bradley Coope had signed Bradley Cooper to portray the San Francisco police officer in Steven Spielberg’s new original.
Cooper will also produce the film alongside Steven Spielberg and his producing partner Kristie Macosko Krieger. Spielberg and Krieger previously collaborated on Maestro.
Josh Singer will be writing the script. Chad and Molly McQueen, son and granddaughter of Steve McQueen, will executive produce the upcoming film.
According to the sources, the film is still in production and will not be a replica of the Steven McQueen picture but rather a new take on the famous character.
Carey Mulligan’s Maestro will premiere on Netflix in 2023.
The film adaptation of Frank Bullitt, on the other hand, is still in progress; hence there are little specifics available.
